About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Educator (Registered Nurse) to join our team on a casual ad hoc need located at our Bentley site. This role is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about clinical education, mentoring, and professional development in the aged care sector.

As a Clinical Educator, you will play a key role in developing, delivering, and coordinating nursing education programs to support best-practice clinical care. You will ensure compliance with accreditation standards, evidence-based nursing practices, and organizational development needs while fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate clinical education programs for nursing staff
  • Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and competency assessments
  • Support professional development and capability-building programs
  • Ensure compliance with aged care regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies
  • Implement and manage education systems, audits, and reporting processes
  • Assist with workforce development planning to support clinical excellence

Key Requirements:

  • Significant clinical nursing experience, preferably in aged care or acute care settings
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment essential
  • Strong background in developing and delivering clinical education programs
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, and supporting nursing teams
  • Sound knowledge of aged care funding models (AN-ACC, Mandatory National Quality Indicator Program, Aged Care Quality Standards, and SIRS)
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and competency-based assessment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
