Description:

Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a full-service, non-profit Catholic hospital, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and a member of Trinity Health.

What you will do

  1. Organizes and coordinates organization-wide training and development programs within a focus on clinical education and nursing orientation.
  2. Works with interdisciplinary teams for standard practice review and revision.
  3. Demonstrates skills and assessments to care for the adult patient population
  4. Researches teaching resources, designs, develops, and obtains audio-visual aids
  5. Implements programs and evaluations and makes recommendations for appropriate modifications.
  6. Coordinates efforts with community-based programs
  7. Supports operation of the Learning center
  8. Assumes responsibility for ensuring continued professional growth and competency of practice
  9. Serves on committees as requested
  10. Manages ordering of programs, supplies, and learns basic budget maintenance
  11. Learning Management System Administrator back up
  12. Organizes and compiles education information for the annual board report
  13. Attends Joint Commission survey and provides education information as requested.
  14. Assists the Medical Staff office with re-credentialing
  15. Manage, assign, and track completion of any learning activity as requested
  16. Oversee CPR and related classes.
  17. Attends programs and coordinates CEU's for staff.
  18. Reconciles monthly online CE course completions in Health Stream with CE broker for accuracy and make corrections as needed.
  19. Performs other job-related duties as requested by Director.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Bachelor's degree required in related field. Nursing experience of a minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting.

Computer information technology and web design preferred.

Licensure:

  • Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
