
The Clinical Director of Procedural Services is responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective, direct and indirect, patient-family centered care through the continuum of perioperative care including but not limited to inpatient surgical services, sterile processing, anesthesia services, PACU/recovery services, ambulatory care services, cath- lab, interventional radiology, endoscopy. The Clinical Director functions as a resource person for staff members and provides necessary education, training, competency validation, and performance reviews of individual members of the nursing staff. Assumes responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided by specified units. Makes decisions regarding patient care activities in area of responsibility. The Clinical Director is responsible for the oversight of the departmental budgets and management of staff.
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent experience, education and training.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years nursing practice with emphasis on leadership & management experience. Minimum of 1 year nursing management, preferably in a Perioperative care setting.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Current license as Registered Nurse in Texas. Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association required. ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire. AORN certification required within one year of hire.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Excellent interpersonal skills; computer skills; basic finance knowledge and basic typing skills.
