Clinical Director – Physical Therapy Clinic
Location: Peoria, Arizona
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week
Setting: Single-Site Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic | Onsite Only | No Travel
Compensation: $115,000 – $125,000 annually (Base Salary)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Director to lead our outpatient Physical Therapy clinic in Peoria Arizona. This role combines clinical excellence with operational leadership, overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care and managing the clinic's daily operations.
The Clinical Director will mentor and support the rehabilitation team, drive patient outcomes, optimize clinic performance, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist who enjoys both patient care and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all rehabilitation services within the clinic.
- Maintain an active patient caseload while managing day-to-day clinic operations.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), and support staff.
- Ensure delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered care and achievement of optimal functional outcomes.
- Monitor clinic productivity, patient satisfaction, quality metrics, and operational performance.
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, workflow efficiency, and resource utilization.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate clinical team members.
- Ensure compliance with state practice acts, Medicare regulations, HIPAA, OSHA, and accreditation standards.
- Partner with regional leadership to achieve financial, operational, and quality goals.
- Foster relationships with referring providers and community partners.
- Support business development initiatives and promote clinic growth.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with payer requirements.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and implement best practices across the clinic.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Arizona Physical Therapist license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or clinic management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of outpatient rehabilitation operations and clinical best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Board Certification (OCS or other ABPTS specialty certification).
- Experience managing clinic operations, budgeting, and staff performance.
- Demonstrated success improving patient outcomes and clinic performance metrics.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
