Hourly Pay Range:
$28.47 - $42.71 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
Position: Clinical Dietitian
Location: Elmhurst Hospital - Elmhurst, IL
Per Diem | Hours are scheduled based on department needs
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm with weekend coverage every 6 weeks.
A Brief Overview:
The Clinical Dietitian provides nutritional services and medical nutrition therapy that are integrated and compatible with patient's medical program goals and objectives.
The Clinical Dietitian's primary responsibilities include developing and implementing nutritional services and medical nutrition therapy to support strategic wellness objectives and guidance for all patients.
What you will do:
Designs and develops consumer nutrition, health and wellness education programs and/or services targeting current user groups and data collection of risk indicators. This includes: Identifies and develops evaluation criteria for assessing effectiveness of these programs.
Performs nutritional, health and wellness screening and assessment.
Manages ongoing nutritional care plans based upon the developmental needs of each patient-member.
Prepares and completes patient-member records and documentation support according to licensure guidelines.
Contributes to the nutrition-specific education/in-service training of patients, professional staff, colleagues, support staff and students when required.
Provides appropriate documentation that summarizes the nutrition care plan in the patient’s medical record, including nutritional assessment, diagnosis plan, implementation and progress toward needs.
Demonstrates accountability for the proper use of patient’s protected health information. Utilizes patient scheduling and monitors/maintains patient through electronic medical record.
What you will need:
Education Master’s Degree in Nutrition, required
Completion of required nutrition and dietetic coursework through ACEND-Accredited didactic program or coordinated program in dietetics.
Completion of an ACEND-accredited supervised practice through a dietetic internship, individualized supervised practice pathway or a coordinated program in nutrition and dietetics
License Current State of Illinois Dietitian Nutritionist licensure (LDN) within 90 of start date into position.
Certification Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential (RDN)
Experience Minimum of one year of clinical dietitian experience, preferred
