About the Role

Amplity is partnering with a leading biopharmaceutical company committed to advancing innovative therapies for patients living with neuromuscular diseases.

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Development Liaison (CDL) to support clinical development activities across Spain. This field-based scientific role will play a critical part in supporting clinical trial start-up, investigator engagement, patient identification, recruitment strategies, and study execution.

The CDL serves as a scientific bridge between investigators, healthcare professionals, clinical sites, and internal stakeholders, helping to accelerate the successful delivery of clinical studies in rare and neuromuscular disorders.

Working closely with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, CRO partners, and international colleagues, the CDL will contribute to building strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring high-quality study conduct throughout the clinical trial lifecycle.

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to ground-breaking research that has the potential to transform the lives of patients with severe and often underserved neuromuscular conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific Education & External Engagement

  • Establish and maintain trusted scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, study coordinators, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Communicate scientific information related to neuromuscular diseases, clinical development programs, pipeline assets, and ongoing clinical trials.
  • Support the planning and execution of Clinical Advisory Boards, Investigator Meetings, and scientific exchange activities.
  • Represent the company at national and international congresses, scientific meetings, and educational events.
  • Collaborate with patient advocacy groups and support approved patient engagement initiatives.
  • Act as a scientific ambassador for the organization, strengthening awareness and engagement within the neuromuscular community.

Clinical Trial Start-Up

  • Identify and assess potential investigators and clinical trial sites across Spain.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of neuromuscular specialists, referral centers, and clinical research stakeholders.
  • Support site feasibility, study start-up activities, and investigator engagement strategies.
  • Provide scientific and operational support to study sites during activation and initiation phases.

Patient Recruitment & Enrollment

  • Partner with investigators and study teams to optimize patient identification and enrollment strategies.
  • Support the development of referral pathways and collaboration among healthcare institutions.
  • Facilitate discussions with sites to identify barriers to recruitment and implement solutions.
  • Leverage disease-area expertise and site insights to maximize recruitment performance and patient retention.

Study Conduct & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate interactions among investigators, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, CROs, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Gather and communicate actionable field insights to support study execution and strategic decision-making.
  • Provide timely updates following site engagements and investigator interactions.
  • Identify opportunities related to scientific collaborations, publications, and Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS/IITs), ensuring appropriate internal alignment.

Compliance & Quality

  • Conduct all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, industry codes, and company policies.
  • Maintain the highest ethical and scientific standards in all stakeholder interactions.
  • Complete all required compliance and training activities within defined timelines.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline. MSc, PharmD, PhD, or MD preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or clinical research industry.
  • Previous experience supporting clinical trials and engaging with investigators and healthcare professionals.
  • Experience in Neurology, Neuromuscular Diseases, Rare Diseases, or Neuroscience is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of clinical research processes, including study start-up, site management, and patient recruitment.
  • Demonstrated success building long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and key external stakeholders.
  • Excellent scientific communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively in cross-functional and international teams.
