The Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center at Lahey Clinic is seeking a fulltime Coordinator, Clinical Database who will perform a variety of duties related to data collection, management, and analysis in order to meet the needs and support the workflow, data collection, and quality improvement/research efforts of clinical team members. Primary responsibilities include: database maintenance, data collection, dataset cleaning and support of all database systems in the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center.
Essential duties but not limited to:
Maintains and supports databases used in the Department.
Acts as liaison with system vendors and LHMC information systems personnel.
Assures integrity and confidentiality of data collection, entry and reporting to and from databases.
Prepares and submits reports as required.
Provides database training to users.
Becomes subject expert in the use of the database, including all querying, reporting and quality of the data.
Works with clinical team members to resolve any data entry/data management issues.
Uses available tools, systems and processes in support of coding medical terminology.
Communicates with clinical investigators to organize data and understand scientific issues.
Builds and configure system to meet requirements, using available application tools.
Collaborates with vendor support personnel to research and resolve vendor product issues.
Exemplifies a culture of excellence and customer service in all processes with all internal and external customers and all external representation of Lahey Health.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
Associate’s degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through the completion of an Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field.
Experience with statistical analysis is preferred but not required.
Experience
1-3 years of experience in database management preferred but not required.
Knowledge of hardware and software systems.
Strong analytical skills, including data entry, manipulation, display, management and development of reports and other data output.
Ability to learn new vendor applications quickly and utilize application tools to tailor system to meet user requirements.
Experience with RedCap a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work under minimal supervision and to adapt quickly to changes within the environment.
Must be a team player and demonstrate interest in a longer-term role.
Pay Range:
$22.00 - $32.00
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
