Position Purpose:

The Respiratory Clinical Coordinator functions in coordinating RespiratoryServicescontinuing education,monitoringand updating policy and procedures,performanceimprovement activities. Acts as a resource person inrelationto currentstandards of practice for Respiratory Therapy.

WhatYouWillDo:

  • Works in a collaborative capacity with the Manager and other members of the management teams in assessing and evaluating services provided by the departments.

  • Practices within the scope of current Respiratory Therapy guideline policies and procedures

  • Assesses the learning needs within patient care settings,in order toplan, organize, coordinate, andparticipatein development of programs to meet thoseidentifiedneeds. Facilitates the professional growth of RespiratoryassociatesAssuresdepartmental competencies and educational needs are met. Assure completion of Orientation of all new employees.

  • Provides direct patient care for supplemental staffing needs.

  • Acts ina supervisorycapacity in the absence of theDirector,when requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Licensure / Certification: Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License to practice in the State of Ohio and National Board of Respiratory Care credential indicating RRT

  • Experience: Five years of experience in all aspects of Respiratory Care.

  • Effective Communication Skills

  • Maintains current BLS and NRP certification

  • Demonstrates leadership abilities, humanrelationskills, decision making,abilityto generate ideas and innovations in a patient-oriented Respiratory Services department.
