
The mission of the College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is to provide excellent and collaborative education, scholarship, and service to advance human well-being for all, with an emphasis on rural and underserved populations.
The CNPD is comprised of three departments: Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Social Work.
The department of Social Work is seeking a full-time (9-month) faculty member at either the Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor rank. The faculty member will teach primarily in the MSW program - specifically the clinical social work specialization. Teaching assignments may also include other areas of the MSW program and/or the BSSW program depending on enrollment and the needs of the department. This position may also have administrative duties assigned to coordinate the clinical social work specialization.
UND Social Work faculty teach in both our campus-based and online distance programs (BSSW and Advanced Generalist MSW). This individual will contribute to a productive and collegial academic team and will develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with students. The department is committed to providing educational access to non-traditional students, especially those interested in serving rural areas and Native American communities. In our rural state, our department has strong partnerships with the state Division of Children and Family Services and houses its training arm, the Children and Family Services Training Center. Our department is also strongly committed to partnerships with our state’s Tribal communities.
This position is for a full-time (9 month) contract and requires an in-person, on-campus presence. A separate summer (3 month) contract related to field instruction (field seminar and supervision of field placements) may also be available. Additionally, an option to pursue a research agenda may be available.
