Primary Function of the Position

The Clinical Applications Engineer, Reprocessing serves as a technical liaison for Intuitive’s endoluminal

reprocessing solutions across new and existing markets. This position is critical for enabling the

successful deployment and sustainability of Intuitive’s endoluminal reprocessing programs in diverse

healthcare settings. This role collaborates with commercial teams and reprocessing trainers to:

• Research and communicate the technical requirements for the successful implementation of Intuitive’s reprocessing programs.

• Actively pursue pre-market and post-market solutions to support regional expansion and seamless integration.

• Work closely with internal experts and external stakeholders, including commercial teams, hospital administration, reprocessing staff, and third-party manufacturers.

• Lead and support market research efforts to identify region-specific requirements and drive innovative, compliant reprocessing solutions.

• Facilitate design communication and program implementation, ensuring solutions meet both local and product-specific needs.

• Demonstrate excellence in project management, stakeholder engagement, and horizontal leadership to maintain project momentum and adapt strategies to fit unique account needs.

Essential Job Duties

• Execute Exploratory Reprocessing Research Program for Regional Expansion

o Develop and implement project plans for research programs in new regions.

o Collaborate with commercial, clinical, and market teams to prioritize expansion targets.

o Engage stakeholders (hospital admins, clinical staff) and conduct site assessments to understand local reprocessing needs.

o Deliver tailored information sessions and ensure compliance with local regulations.

o Monitor outcomes and share learnings with leadership for continuous program improvement.

• Provide Expertise and Feedback for New Product Launches in Reprocessing

o Act as the ‘voice of customer’ during early product design, gathering feedback from users and partners.

o Provide input to engineering on usability and regulatory needs.

o Support validation and launch strategies, including hands-on field training and feedback collection.

o Review documentation as SME to ensure clarity and compliance.

• Lead Regional Reprocessing Solutions from the Customer Perspective

o Identify customer challenges and advocate effective solutions.

o Partner with internal/external teams to implement tailored reprocessing programs.

o Guide trainers and consultants during rollouts; resolve issues quickly and escalate as needed.

o Cultivate strong relationships with hospital clients, monitor satisfaction, and drive continuous improvement.

資格

Required Education, Training, Skills, and Expertise

o Minimum bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, or equivalent experience

o Demonstrated experience/interest in the medical procedural and reprocessing space with applicable certification(s).

o Minimum 4 years’ experience working for industry, with proven experience translating customer needs to design insights, and working with customers on the value and possibilities of new technology

o Demonstrated experience collaborating effectively with international partners across multiple time zones, ensuring seamless communication, information sharing, and coordinated project execution in globally distributed teams.

o Proven ability to work effectively and drive results as part of a team, both internally and externally. Ability to defuse high-tension situations and align stakeholders to progressive solutions

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

o Agility to pivot focus to meet evolving customer demands and shifting market dynamics

o Ability to excel in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

o Willingness to be flexible with work hours

o Fluent in English and local language(s)

Working Conditions

o Ability to enter reprocessing, sterile processing, and patient care areas

o May require standing for significant amounts of time while at customer accounts

o May require sitting for significant amounts of time during calls or while traveling

o Ability to travel up to 60%, located near a major airline/rail hub, and ability to work nights and weekends as needed

o Ability to travel on a moment’s notice and support accounts across varying geographies; comfortable booking and utilizing all forms of travel

o (Acts as a Medical Device Consultant (Medizinprodukteberater) in Austria and Germany, after appropriate training, as per legal requirement and provide guidance, insight, and support in the proper handling of Intuitive medical devices)

Preferred Skills and Experience

o Preferred at least 2 years working in an Operating Room, Sterile Processing, or Endoscope Reprocessing Department environment

o Experience with Ion high-level disinfection reprocessing history and evolution in Endoscope Reprocessing Departments (ERDs), including early launch site first-hand experience

o Experience introducing innovative robotic technology into hospital reprocessing environments.

o Understanding of daVinci Sterilization processes and equipment used in Sterile Processing Departments (SPDs)
