In this role, you will support, optimize, and enhance our Epic Ambulatory applications that power clinic operations and patient care across the system. You will serve as a trusted partner to providers, nurses, and operational leaders by delivering technical solutions that improve workflows, efficiency, and the overall patient experience. This position blends system configuration, troubleshooting, and project work with direct collaboration across clinical and business teams.

The Clinical Applications Analyst – Ambulatory provides advanced application support, system configuration, and ongoing optimization for Epic Ambulatory and related clinical systems. This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME), partnering with clinical stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain solutions that support safe, efficient, and high-quality outpatient care delivery.

  • Support Epic Ambulatory applications and associated clinical workflows
  • Serve as escalation support for complex incidents and system issues
  • Translate operational needs into functional and technical solutions
  • Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations
  • Provide training and consultation to clinical and operational teams
  • Promote continuous improvement of ambulatory systems and processes

What You Will Do

  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated application issues reported through approved intake processes
  • Configure, test, and maintain Epic Ambulatory build, including workflows, templates, reports, and tools
  • Collaborate with providers, clinic leadership, and DTS teams to gather requirements and design solutions
  • Participate in upgrades, optimizations, go-lives, and new project initiatives
  • Develop documentation, testing scripts, and support materials
  • Perform routine system maintenance and monitoring to ensure optimal performance
  • Coordinate integration and data exchange points between Epic and other systems as needed
  • Provide end-user training, education, and workflow guidance
  • Serve as an SME and consultant to recommend improvements that maximize system value
  • Follow change management and production support practices for all system updates
  • Support cross-functional teams during critical events or implementations

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5+ years of healthcare applications support or analyst experience preferred
  • Experience supporting Epic Ambulatory or similar clinical systems strongly preferred
  • Understanding of ambulatory clinic workflows and outpatient operations
  • Experience with system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Epic certification or ability to obtain certification within a defined timeframe preferred
