Job Description

We are seeking a part-time Clinical Aide - Patient Transportation to join our community-driven hospital! As a central member of the team, you will work to provide safe and efficient transportation of hospital patients and materials throughout the hospital.

This role is Part time7am-3:30pmor3pm - 11:30pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assists in transport of patients, ambulatory or non-ambulatory, via wheelchair or stretcher. Assures patients comfort while in the process of transportation.
2. Verifies assignment information with dispatcher/supervisor and verifies patient’s by two step identification process. Attends to the care of documents relating to transporting of patients (x-rays and charts) and for support equipment (IV’s, oxygen, walkers).
3. Delivers reports, samples, supplies, mail, charts, specimens or other materials as designated by the supervisor.
4. Follows all infection control and isolation procedures as designated by the hospital or department policies and assumes responsibility for the cleaning of department equipment.
5. Obtains and maintains proper transportation of equipment as designated by dispatcher and reports malfunction or unsafe equipment to supervisor.
6. Verifies work through the proper submission of reports, logs and dispatch sheets, etc. to be used for statistical reports.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or G.E.D required.
• Some experience preferred.
