The Clinical Adoption Coach I provides clinical technology support through collaboration, learning and performance instruction with a focus on providers and clinicians for clinical service delivery across the continuum. The Adoption Coach collaborates with subject matter experts and clinicians to ensure optimal and most efficient use of the EHR.
Clinical Adoption Coach I provides the pertinent specific EHR domain capability to ensure continuity of the platform. This role is critical to ensuring the translation of current vs future state workflow in the implementation of new technology and optimization of current technologies. The Clinical Adoption Coach I is also responsible for implementing mitigation strategies and escalation if an end user is challenged with adoption and/or the execution of change management. They are required to be a resource to Super Users, At-The-Elbow (ATE) during implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives.
The position requires a working knowledge of clinical documentation workflows, within an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and is responsible for supporting various EMR Systems.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
Works under moderate supervision. This position requires on-call responsibilities and rotational shift coverage (early and late shifts) as needed. This position acts as a liaison to other AtlantiCare departments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in a related area preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid New Jersey Driver’s License required.
EXPERIENCE: 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. This position requires long periods of reading, hearing, sitting, standing, walking, stooping and crouching a majority of the workday. This position requires eye and hearing strain at times. Works with equipment such as computer terminal, fax machine, printer and copier. Must be comfortable working in a clinical setting.
