Job Description

This position is primarily responsible for greeting, directing and assisting patients in the Breast Health Center. The coordinator schedules exams, registers patients, insures correct orders, enters orders, and enters charges for services provided in the Breast Health Center. Communicates with referring physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare team members in the provision of patient care. Performs various reception and secretarial duties while subscribing to the mission and vision of the Medical Imaging Department and Nashville General Hospital.

High School Diploma Required
3 years clerical experience Preferred

Three years of clerical/secretarial experience preferred. Must have knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, primarily mammography and ultrasound. Basic computer skills required; perform tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
