
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full time Clinic Coder for our Central Business OfficeUnder the supervision of the Director of Health Information Management or authorized designee, is responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and diagnostic reports to extract data and apply appropriate ICD, CPT codes, modifiers, discharge dispositions, and other coding schemes to medical records for billing, internal and external reporting, research and regulatory compliance activities.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in Medical Coding preferred but not required.
Experience:
Background in medical billing, terminology, and anatomy is strongly recommended.
Certifications/Skills:
CPC-A, COC-A, CPC or COC required. Additional specialty certifications will be used to show proficiency and count as experience in the certified specialty.
