Job Description

Responsible for reviewing all Provider billing information, correcting errors and creating claims in Athena on day of service. Work directly with the clinic team and Providers to obtain information to correct claims. Educate Providers on proper billing and coding. Communicate incomplete billing tabs and missing documentation to Providers.

Qualifications: High School Diploma. Minimum 2-3 years of coding and billing experience. Athena experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

·Ensure Provider has marked billing tab reviewed.

·Review all CPT and IDCD10 codes are present.

·Enter undocumented ICD10 codes into encounter.

·Ensure modifiers are utilized when appropriate.

·Ensure units are entered and correct on injections.

·Complete the NDC information for compound injections and Gadavist claims.

·Select appropriate laterality on x-rays and viscosupplmentation injections.

·Remove any administration fees for viscosupplementation or Gadavist procedures.

·Enter the Supervising Provider for Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner and DME/Casting clinics.

·Contact clinic for any missing information required to complete the claim.

·Provide education to the clinic team and Provider for any continued errors on billing tab.

·Communicate with Providers on any incomplete billing at the end of the day or following business day.

·Continued communication with Providers with incomplete billing information.

·Provide updates to Clinic Manager and Director on any delinquent Provider claims.

·Assist Patient Account Coordinators with patient calls during downtime

·All other duties as assigned.
