Clin AST/ASO/FULL PROF


Classification Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must have a PhD. Must be Board-Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology Physics.


Job Description:

This position will contribute to the academic mission of the department in clinical service, research, and education. The person hired will aid in clinical implementation of advanced radiotherapy technology and in providing comprehensive radiotherapy treatments including scattering and scanning beam proton therapy, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT and brachytherapy treatments. Responsibilities include all aspects of clinical radiation oncology physics and participation in both the CAMPEP accredited graduate medical physics program at the University of Florida and CAMPEP residency program at UFHPTI.


Expected Salary:

Salary negotiable and commensurate with experience.


Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in Medical Physics from a CAMPEP-accredited program
  • Completion in a 2-year medical physics residency
  • Certified or Certification eligibility for the American Board of Radiology


Preferred:

Experience working in a Proton Facility with Proton Therapy.

  • Applicant should have experience in academia
  • Expertise in clinical proton treatment planning, quality assurance, and equipment calibration
