You’ve put in the work to become a qualified Climber. Now take those skills somewhere they’ll be recognised, backed and put to use across one of Victoria’s most varied outdoor regions.

Picture starting your day among the leafy streets of Lilydale and Mooroolbark, moving through the open country and vineyards around Yarra Glen, or working beneath the towering forest canopy near Kinglake. You’ll travel across the region, climbing among leafy suburban streets, open farmland, vineyards and forested ranges while building a long-term career.

What you’ll actually be doing: You’ll climb and move through tree canopies to prune or remove branches growing too close to the electricity network, helping maintain safe clearances and reduce the risk of outages, fires and storm damage. Every site brings a different tree, access challenge and climbing plan – this is skilled, technical work where good judgement matters.

About you:

You’re someone who enjoys physical, hands-on outdoor work and understands the importance of working safely every day. You’re dependable, team-oriented and confident working in changing conditions, with the flexibility to travel or work away from home when required.

You know your way around a canopy, take pride in clean, controlled work and want more than just another climbing job. You want variety, a dependable crew and the chance to work across changing terrain without giving up the security of permanent employment.

To be successful, you’ll have:

• Certificate III in Arboriculture (essential)
• Previous climbing experience
• Current Drivers Licence (essential)
• Ability to live away from home when required

Great, but not essential:

• White card
• First aid/CPR
• MR/HR Truck Licence
