Why This Role Matters
The Client Strategy Analyst will directly support the productivity and growth of departments within the Luxury cluster by providing and managing data intelligence and assisting with short- and mid-term strategic planning around sales and clients. Working alongside the Client Strategy Directors and Managers in Luxury, they will contribute to short- and mid-term strategic planning around prospective, new, and existing clients. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and complete tasks with a high level of accuracy. The ideal candidate will also have strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and must handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
How You Will Make An Impact
Core Responsibilities
Work with peer group on information sharing, identifying cross departmental opportunities, and recording information for Client Strategy.
Assist the Director with ensuring that key stakeholders, e.g. Heads of Department/Sale, are aware of key company-wide events and client engagement opportunities on a timely basis.
Deliver specific campaigns based on briefs directed by Director by producing and managing information using research tools to target specific clients for each campaign based on the strategic brief provided.
Auction
Identify potential buyers by researching comparable past lots using Christie’s systems and add relevant clients to the interest list.
Work with the Heads of Sale and the CRM team to assist with targeting the sales.
Work with the administrative team to track interest and bids throughout the sale to inform targeting methods as the sale unfolds
Arrange and run pre-sale interest meetings.
Oversee and review bespoke catalogue distribution lists and regularly review said lists to ensure maximum efficacy.
Provide timely intelligence into auction activity to leverage private sales.
Arrange and run post-sale debriefs and analysis including follow-up, tracking and recording of action points and deliverables for Specialists.
Track activity of specific clients new to Luxury; partner with Specialists, Client Advisory and the Regional Client Strategy team to devise and drive a strategy for each.
Work alongside the Regional Client Strategy team to build guest lists for events hosted by/associated with the Luxury cluster as needed, utilising all central research tools.
Client Intelligence
Ensure that all client information is logged and updated in COS and other systems where appropriate.
Actively encourage Specialists and Business Getters to feedback information gathered from client visits/meetings to enrich data in COS and ensure opportunities are followed up on.
Assist the Directors and Managers and the Regional Client Strategy team with planning and conducting client/Client Team Lead/regional reviews.
Maintain departmental Top Buyer, Top Collections, Wish Lists and other lists as required. Manage and maintain client and market statistics for use in business getting initiatives.
Work closely with the Directors and Managers on other sourcing initiatives whenever necessary.
Ensure that Specialists are using systems effectively and that all information is correctly entered (both individually and exported from other systems) to support our pipeline business.
Attend auctions at Christie’s and co-ordinate ‘spotting’ to ensure bidder activity is entered COS.
What You Will Bring To The Team
Bachelor’s degree (as a minimum)
Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
Database management skills - Good knowledge of Christie’s systems preferred.
Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
Substantial experience of manipulating and analysing data in a commercial environment.
Solid understanding of the auction process.
Previous experience working in Client Strategy or Business Development.
Appreciation and understanding of Luxury industries and markets with preferable experience working within one of their markets/industries
Enthusiastic approach and ‘can-do’ attitude.
Ability to prioritise, meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
Excellent ability to manage multiple long- and short-term projects.
Ability to work independently with strong initiative, as well as in a team.
Excellent communicator, verbal and written.
Demonstrable knowledge of and interest in art and luxury.
Extreme discretion with confidential and sensitive information.

Compensation Range
$57,000 - $60,000 annually
