Veterinary Receptionist
The Centre for Animal Referral and Emergency (CARE), a multi-specialist veterinary hospital located in inner Melbourne, is recruiting for an enthusiastic and team-oriented veterinary receptionist to work on a permanent part-time basis.

CARE is a large 24hr multidisciplinary hospital based in Collingwood (just 3km from the CBD). The hospital is staffed with an outstanding team of emergency veterinarians and nurses, working alongside specialists in surgery, emergency & critical care, and internal medicine. The Position
CARE is seeking an enthusiastic and conscientious veterinary receptionist to deliver exemplary customer service to our clients. This role combines frontline hospital reception duties, administrative tasks, and telephone switchboard operations. Our veterinary receptionists must have the meticulous attention to detail required to meet CARE’s high standard of client relations, record keeping, and hygiene protocols.
The successful candidate will be self-driven, well-presented, and able to function effectively both individually and as part of a team. The role would best suit a composed, compassionate, and professional individual, who is capable of managing multiple competing priorities and working under pressure.
Prior experience in a customer service position is a requirement of the role, as is a background in the veterinary sector. Applicants must have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and possess a very high level of written and verbal communication. Knowledge of EzyVet practice management software and medical privacy laws would be advantageous, but not essential.
