Pre-Employment Requirements:

• We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.

Education Requirements:

• Validation of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• MT or MLT, ASCP preferred
• Meets the CLIA standards for moderate complexity testing under 42 CFR 493.1433

Job Requirements:

• Maintains adequate knowledge of department using the regulatory guidelines established by OSHA, CLIA, NACCLS, and CAP
• Must have at least two years experience working in a hospital lab or reference laboratory setting.
• Must have the manual dexterity necessary to perform capillary puncture and venipuncture for the collection of specimens
• Must possess good verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently
• Must possess the knowledge levels and judgement capability for effective supervisory duties
• Must have the ability to type 45 WPM
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
