About the role

The Client Services Coordinator reports to the Program Manager of Youth Services Upton Rd and is a member of the leadership team that covers sites across the Inner and Middle South regions of Melbourne.

Oversee the program’s housing portfolio (including Yarrinup Mother Baby Program and Education Pathway Properties), provide supervision to Specialist Children’s and Youth Brokerage roles, and support expansion of medium-term accommodation with the Program Manager.

Reporting to the Program Manager, this is a fixed term part-time (0.4 FTE), 15.2 hours per week contracted until July 2027, based in St Kilda, VIC. This role will be required to be a part of the on-call roster.

Conditions

Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 6.

You will successfully

  • Lead and support a dedicated team delivering youth-focused services, providing supervision, guidance and a strong client-first approach
  • Drive high-quality, consistent service delivery aligned with the Journey to Independence Model and Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) framework
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of youth accommodation services, ensuring safe, supportive and empowering environments for young people
  • Build strong partnerships with community organisations, including overseeing the Bridge It partnership and Cocoon accommodation program to enhance outcomes for young people
  • Manage resources, budgets and program development to strengthen and expand accommodation and life skills supports for youth

You will have

  • Bachelor Qualification in social work, social sciences or related field
  • Experience managing staff, conducting supervision and developing professional practice
  • Strong knowledge of principles of trauma-informed care and/or Psychologically Informed Environments and their application in work with young people
  • Minimum 3 years experience within the Homelessness Sector
  • Strong understanding of the MARAM Framework and ability to implement this across new service design
  • Strong understanding of Safeguarding and Child Safety Standards and Safeguarding particularly in relation to residential services
  • Well-written verbal and IT communication skills
  • VIC Driver's Licence
  • Employee Working with Children's Check

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
