Client Services Accountant – Fall Recruitment (January 2027)
Are you looking to become a well-rounded CPA while building a long-term career with an established and growing firm?
RHN is currently welcoming applications for full-time Client Services Accountant positions in our Kelowna office. These positions are part of our CPA Pre-Approved Program and will begin in January 2027.
About You
You love accounting and chose this profession not because of the number-crunching (though numbers are your first language), but because you love identifying and solving problems.
You are empathetic toward clients and treat their finances with care. Whatever solution you offer, you keep the client’s best interests in mind. You realize that accounting clients like to discuss financial and accounting solutions in plain English terms, so you save the accounting code words for your teammates instead.
You enjoy variety in your work. While you’re comfortable working from the office, you’re equally excited to visit client locations, collaborate with teammates, and gain hands-on experience across British Columbia.
What You May Bring:
·Completion or near completion of an accounting program at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution
·Previous accounting co-op experience, particularly in public practice, is considered an asset
·Exposure to CaseWare/CaseView, Taxprep, and Microsoft Office, whether in an academic or professional setting
·Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
·A willingness to learn, take initiative and contribute as part of a collaborative team.
What You’ll Do at RHN
RHN serves a diverse client base across a broad range of industries, giving our team members opportunities to build varied experience and develop well-rounded skill sets.
Your responsibilities may include:
·Preparing and completing a variety of engagements including T1 and T2 tax returns and filings
·Assisting with compilation, review and audit engagements
·Meeting internal and external deadlines, while working within established time budgets
·Actively participating in ongoing professional development including firm-wide learning sessions and maintaining a mindset of continuous learning and improvement
·Embracing RHN’s values and leadership philosophies, and applying these principles in your interactions with staff and clients
