In this role, you will help clients move business forward by delivering responsive, high-quality service and clear guidance. You will partner closely with product, sales, and operational teams to solve issues quickly and improve the end-to-end experience. As a Client Service Account Manager – Associate in Trade and Working Capital, you provide first-class service to clients by managing trade finance activity after the sale and resolving complex inquiries. You will use your trade product knowledge to support clients with standby letters of credit, guarantees, commercial letters of credit, and collections. You will work with us to build strong partnerships across teams, identify themes in client needs, and improve processes that raise service quality. This role matters because it protects the client experience while supporting sustainable growth.

Job responsibilities

  • Manage post-sale transaction activity through completion, ensuring accurate handling and timely turnaround
  • Resolve complex client inquiries related to trade finance transactions and documentation requirements
  • Partner with sales, product, and operational teams to deliver a seamless client experience
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Track transaction status and provide clear, timely updates and reporting to clients and partners
  • Investigate and support resolution of refusals, disputes, and exceptions across complex cases
  • Document all client interactions accurately in the case management system
  • Deliver client training and support client engagement activities to strengthen relationships
  • Analyze client activity patterns and share insights on trends, risks, and service opportunities
  • Identify and implement process improvements aligned with trade priorities

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Working knowledge of trade finance rules and practices (including UCP 600, ISP 98, and URDG)
  • Experience supporting core trade products (standby letters of credit, guarantees, commercial letters of credit, and collections)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client requests and transactions simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Strong client service orientation with evidence of building and maintaining effective client relationships
  • Proven ability to resolve complex issues through structured investigation and sound judgment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain requirements to clients and partners
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with consistent, accurate follow-through
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and navigate competing priorities
  • Comfort using case management and workflow tools to track and document work accurately

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) qualification
  • Additional language capability to support diverse client needs
  • Proficiency working across multiple systems and tools in a high-volume environment
  • Interest in automation and artificial intelligence tools to streamline processes and reporting
