The opportunity

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Project Services Manager with experience in Client & Project Resource, and Workforce Mobilisation and Management to join us in Melbourne. You will take ownership of the day-to-day performance of designated Victorian projects, from financial and QHSE outcomes through to resourcing, client relationships and business development, playing an integral role in the continued growth of RSGx.

Key duties will include:

• Manage the day-to-day requirements of designated Victorian project services, including financial performance, QHSE performance, resource planning, interviewing and hiring personnel.
• Identify new opportunities for RSGx in Victoria and expand scopes of work with existing clients, leading proposals and bids as required.
• Provide support to the tendering team on scopes of work, including pricing, QA documentation, work history and references, and lead in the creation of sell rates for blue- and white-collar positions in collaboration with the finance team.
• Organise mobilisation and de-mobilisation of resources on designated projects, working with the mobilisations team.
• Review financial performance of designated projects on an ongoing basis and develop and execute strategies to maximise profitability from labour and equipment.
• Report on financial performance through monthly P&L reporting, project forecasting and regular management meetings, and lead the monthly payment claim process.
• Maintain open dialogue and strong relationships with client representatives, subcontractors, RSGx management and RSGx employees.
• Ensure RSGx best practices and internal policies are upheld in relation to safety, fatigue, PPE, inventory control and client relations.

About you

As the successful candidate, you will have proven experience managing projects, client relationships, and workforce resources, including the mobilisation and management of blue- and white-collar personnel across infrastructure and construction projects throughout Victoria,

• Understanding of EPC systems, process and engineering documentation.
• Experience controlling costs on large-scale projects.
• Experience and track record of management of electrical personnel and client management in the electrical industry
• Knowledge and correct interpretation of Union Enterprise Agreements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to quickly develop and sustain solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong personal leadership, with the initiative to identify problems and present solutions.
• Ability to react and work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
