Our challenge

We are seeking an experienced Client Partner with a strong Banking & Financial Services background to drive client relationships, account growth, and strategic business development within key banking accounts. In addition to managing client engagements and growing revenue, this individual will support Business Unit (BU) operations, including pipeline management, forecasting, governance, reporting, and coordination of strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an IT Services and Consulting environment and possess a strong understanding of banking technology, digital transformation, data, cloud, AI, and managed services.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $150k - $160k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship & Account Growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client executives, business stakeholders, and technology leaders.
  • Drive account growth through account mining, cross-selling, and upselling of consulting and technology services.
  • Identify and qualify new opportunities across digital transformation, data & analytics, cloud, AI/GenAI, application modernization, and managed services.
  • Partner with delivery and solution teams to develop winning proposals and client solutions.
  • Support contract negotiations, SOW development, and commercial discussions.
  • Business Development
  • Develop and execute account growth plans aligned with client priorities and business objectives.
  • Create and manage a healthy sales pipeline and support revenue forecasting activities.
  • Drive strategic account planning and executive engagement initiatives.
  • Support pursuit activities, RFP responses, and proposal development.
  • BU Operations Support
  • Support the BU Head in operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Track and report on pipeline, revenue, bookings, and account performance metrics.
  • Coordinate leadership reviews, governance meetings, and business planning activities.
  • Prepare executive presentations, business updates, and management reports.
  • Assist with resource planning, hiring coordination, and business unit reporting.
  • Drive follow-up actions from leadership meetings and strategic reviews.
  • Ensure alignment across sales, delivery, finance, and operations teams.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in IT Services, Consulting, or Technology Services Sales.
  • Strong Banking & Financial Services domain knowledge, including Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Capital Markets, Payments, Risk & Compliance, or Wealth Management.
  • Experience managing client relationships and growing strategic accounts.
  • Proven track record in technology services sales and account management.
  • Strong understanding of consulting-led sales and delivery models.
  • Experience working with senior executives and managing complex stakeholder environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience supporting business unit operations, reporting, governance, or strategy functions.
  • Familiarity with AI/GenAI, cloud transformation, data platforms, and digital modernization initiatives.
  • Experience working with Tier-1 banks and financial institutions.
  • MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.
