Job Description

Linklaters is a global law firm, providing legal services in 20 countries and through 30 offices.

Linklaters is a people business. Being best in class in the eyes of our clients means that our people must be exceptional.

We look not only for brilliant minds, but for people who will thrive in our environment: people who love working collaboratively and demonstrate the innovative, efficient, agile, entrepreneurial, and responsible mind-set we aim to bring to every interaction.

Ours is an environment of outperformance. We achieve this not with targets and incentives, but by fostering a positive, supportive, fair, and open atmosphere.

We respect and value difference but insist on inclusivity. We celebrate all aspects of diversity and challenge any form of bias. This is vital to our ability to work as one team, with a common goal.

The Team

Re:link is Linklaters’ flexible lawyer platform. We provide Linklaters' clients and practice groups with swift access to a community of high-quality consultants to solve their flexible resourcing needs.

Re:link is a key part of Limitless, Linklater’s re-designed Alternative Legal Services offering. Limitless draws together Linklaters’ paralegals, support lawyers, legal project managers and LegalTech professionals as well as Re:link consultants.

The Role

At Re:link our Client Desks are at the heart of what we do. Focusing on distinct practice areas, Client Desks work hand-in-glove with Linklaters partners and practice groups, matching high-quality Re:link consultants to where our clients (both internal within Linklaters and external) need them most.

The Client Manager is the senior member of the Corporate, Contentious & Projects (CCP) Client Desk. The objective of this Desk is to provide Linklaters’ clients with top-calibre consultants with expertise across a broad range of practice areas including Corporate, Technology & Media, Litigation & Arbitration, Investment Funds, Real Estate, Employment & Incentives, and Energy & Infrastructure.

As its senior member, the Client Manager manages the Client Desk, including the following activities. He/she is responsible for all sales opportunities managed by the Desk overall, including both these allocated to the Desk’s Client Advisor(s) as well as those managed personally by him/herself.

  • Executes new client sales opportunities. This includes setting and achieving sales targets on both an individual and Desk basis and driving and growing revenue and profit to achieve these targets.
  • Manages the end-to-end sales process, engaging and negotiating with clients, matching Re:link consultants to roles, determining pricing, and securing commitment from partners and business teams.

  • Works closely with stakeholders to ensure client needs are met and sales targets are achieved by maintaining strong communication and alignment with overall business goals.
  • Line management of the Client Advisor(s) aligned to their desk, including their performance and oversight of their day-to-day responsibilities, and from a longer-term developmental perspective
