This role can be based in one of our offices in West Wyalong, Orange, or Canberra Alternatively, you can enjoy the flexibility of working remotely, with the opportunity to connect in person with our team 1–2 times per month

Your role, your contribution!

  • Deliver high-quality and efficient general accounting services across a diverse client base
  • Assist in preparing business advice and/or tax returns, business activity statements, FBT returns, financial statements and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, trusts and individual businesses
  • Ensure jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines, within budget
  • Assist with general bookkeeping queries and liaise with the ATO and other Government bodies on client matters
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge to ensure compliance with all statutory and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical and practical assistance to staff

What you bring to the role:

  • Previous business advisory and tax experience gained within public practice
  • CA, CPA qualification or working towards this
  • Analytical skills and an inquisitive mindset, with a desire to deeply understand our client’s business
  • Strong Excel skills and practical experience with cloud accounting products (Xero, MYOB)
  • Genuine desire to be an enthusiastic and active contributor to our growing team
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive with the ability to prioritise your workload
  • The desire and ability to mentor junior staff and teach them the skills to succeed as a professional accountant
