Job Description

As a Client Engagement Specialist, you’ll play a key role in building strong client relationships, ensuring billing accuracy, and driving overall account success. You won’t just manage accounts—you’ll help improve how we deliver value to our clients every day.

The Client Engagement Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service and accurate utility billing. This role combines client relationship management, analytical thinking, and cross-functional coordination to support timely, compliant billing and optimize account performance.

What You’ll Do

Own the Client Experience

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients
  • Build strong, professional relationships with property managers and stakeholders
  • Conduct account reviews and provide performance updates
  • Respond quickly and effectively to client questions and requests

Ensure Billing Accuracy

  • Review monthly billing for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies before invoices are finalized
  • Partner with internal teams to correct data issues
  • Ensure account updates (utility changes, acquisitions, etc.) are reflected correctly

Leverage Data & Insights

  • Generate and analyze billing and usage reports
  • Track performance metrics like timeliness, accuracy, and recovery rates
  • Provide recommendations to improve client outcomes and efficiency

Manage Account Operations

  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and billing systems
  • Document client interactions and resolutions

Collaborate & Improve

  • Work cross-functionally to resolve issues and streamline processes
  • Escalate trends and recommend improvements
  • Contribute to ongoing process and system enhancements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in account management, billing, or property management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with CRM/billing systems (Yardi, Nexus, or similar preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
