Salary: $16 - $19 per hour

Schedule: 10-hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Best Friends Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced, full-time Client Care Specialist to join our dedicated team. As one of the first points of contact for our clients and patients, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming, organized, and compassionate experience from the first phone call through checkout.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome clients and patients with professionalism, warmth, and compassion
• Serve as a first point of contact for clients both in person and over the phone
• Answer incoming calls and assist clients with questions and requests
• Schedule appointments and coordinate client communications
• Admit and discharge patients efficiently and accurately
• Maintain accurate client and patient information
• Maintain client accounts and process payments
• Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately
• Assist with client education and provide appropriate support throughout the veterinary visit
• Respond to inquiries while delivering exceptional customer service
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, including during stressful or emotional situations
• Coordinate with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and other hospital team members
• Help maintain an organized and efficient front desk
• Support daily hospital operations and workflow
• Contribute to a positive experience for every client and patient

What You’ll Bring

• A minimum of three years of client service experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong time-management and organizational abilities
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a busy environment
• A calm, professional, and compassionate demeanor under pressure
• A trustworthy, dependable, and team-oriented approach
• Passion for pet welfare and exceptional client service
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently when needed while remaining an engaged member of the team
• Availability to work 10-hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
