Provides oversight to the Client Care Coordinators and also responsible for direct care to clients at Carpenter House.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Monitors, screens, and oversees all residents and visitors that enter the facility.
  2. Responsible for safety and security of the residence.
  3. Works closely with the social rehabilitation staff to meet the needs of the residents.
  4. Assists clients in developing their ADL skills, such as, cooking, housekeeping.
  5. Monitor self-administration of medications according to policy/procedure.
  6. Assist clients in doing their laundry.
  7. Transports and accompanies clients to various appointments.
  8. Engages clients on a one on one basis as needed to afford socialization opportunities.
  9. Monitors clients for adherence to House rules.
  10. Responds to client health and mental health needs and emergencies.
  11. Supervises shift workers
  12. Carries a small caseload and provides basic case management and counseling
  13. Refers clients to Housing Specialist, Vocational Counselor, medical providers, and external referral sources



Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a High School diploma or GED, some college preferred. Experience with the homeless and substance abuse population needed. A clean and valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a passenger van necessary. Ability to establish workload priorities and balance diverse projects. Must have excellent communication skills both orally and in writing with individuals and groups regarding complex and sensitive issues. The physical ability to perform the essential job functions is needed. In addition, the Client Care Manager shall perform any duties as required to meet the needs of the agency and the clients that we serve.
