We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Oakfield Vets on a full-time fixed-term basis for 6 months.

Established over a hundred years ago, the Oakfield Veterinary Group today operates surgeries in Atherstone, Tamworth and Castle Bromwich and successfully treats many thousands of animals from locations across the region, including Nuneaton, Baddesley Ensor, Chelmsley Wood, Castle Vale, Kingshurst, Marston Green and many more.

Our experienced veterinary surgeons are highly regarded for their care of small animals and our trained nursing staff are dedicated to providing the best treatment possible, as well as offering a wide range of clinics devoted to animal wellbeing and preventative healthcare.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

Working pattern will be Monday to Friday, 8 hours per shift with a 20-minute unpaid break. Examples of shifts of 8:00am to 4:00pm, 9:00am to 5:00pm, 11:00am to 7:00pm. You will be required to participate in a Saturday rota between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm, with time back in lieu.

Your duties will include:

*Greeting clients and patients

• Answering phones

*Handling inquiries both over the phone, face to face and email

*Booking appointments

*Admin duties

*Cleaning the reception/waiting areas
