Job Title:Veterinary Receptionist

Location:Calder Vets, Dewsbury

Job Type:Full-time, permanent

Hours:The role will include early/late shift patterns 7.30-4.30 and 11.30-800betweenMon-Fri and 1 in 4 weekends Sat 8-6 & Sun 9-6 Plus1 Bank Holiday

This is a front of housereceptionrole that covers over our 8 sitesand requires a very flexible,sociableand adaptable person with a passion for amazing customer service. 

We would like to hear from candidates who are customer focused and confident communicators. The position will best suit a proactive and enthusiastic individual with a passion for providing excellent customer service. 

Your role and responsibilities

  • You will be the front of house, welcomingclientsand their pets into the branches. Being efficient,pleasantand courteous to clients and their animalsat all times
  • Manage and deal with appointment bookings in a professional and efficient manner
  • Answer and make calls to veterinary practices, insurancecompaniesand clients witha high levelof customer service
  • Support the business with a range of administrative duties
  • Havea high levelof attention to detail
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced environment and stillmaintaina high levelof customer service and completing all tasks to a high standard
  • Show awareness of financial control within the practice and follow up with clients for outstanding payments

Essential Skills,knowledgeand Experience

  • Experience dealing with customers in a customer facing role
  • Previousveterinary experience is desirable but not essential
  • A proactive, positive attitude
  • Adapt well to learning a new system if nopreviousexperience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly motivated to provide excellent service to clients and the practice
  • Works well within a team and be a positive member of the team
  • Ability to work at afast workingpace under pressure along with lone working and managing own workload when the branch runs at a slower pace
  • Professional approach to work
  • Excellent administration, organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills – Microsoft (Outlook,Wordand Excel).
