Your area of work:

Trading & Clearing is a division within Deutsche Börse Group and home of Xetra, Eurex, 360T, Crypto Finance as well as the European Energy Exchange. The Trading & Clearing Strategy section supports the development of the long-term organic and inorganic growth strategy from a division perspective. It maintains ongoing business intelligence, manages strategic projects, and acts as the interface to other areas within Deutsche Börse.


The Business Intelligence Team provides strategic insights across Deutsche Börse’s Trading & Clearing division. By combining market intelligence, competitor monitoring, and quantitative research, the team supports senior decision-makers in navigating industry shifts, identifying growth opportunities, and understanding client and market dynamics.

As a Client Analyst within the Business Intelligence Team, you will act as the interface between Trading & Clearing Strategy and the Sales functions across the division, coordinating cross-divisional input and supporting senior leadership in assessing key client relationships. In this role, you analyze client developments and market trends, prepare executive briefings, and continuously improve the client briefing and coordination process across the division.

Your responsibilities:

  • Own the development of high-quality briefings and materials for senior management engagements, translating cross-divisional input into clear strategic narratives, including executive-ready positioning materials and high-impact client presentations
  • Manage and coordinate the Sell-Side Cross-Divisional Forum, preparing discussions with the Executive Board and consolidating perspectives on key opportunities with major sell-side clients
  • Establish and run a continuous engagement process across Sales functions, ensuring systematic identification of up- and cross-sell opportunities, client introductions, and follow-ups across Trading & Clearing
  • Drive the enhancement of existing briefing and coordination processes and leverage Artificial Intelligence to improve workflows
  • Monitor and analyze client behavior using revenue and volume data, identifying trends, challenging assumptions where needed, and building analyses that generate actionable client insights
  • Translate client intelligence into a structured view on the most relevant commercial opportunities and risks

Your profile:

  • You hold a top-tier university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • You have 3-5 years of experience in institutional sales, client strategy, or business development. Preferably in a client-facing capacity
  • Strong track record of working with senior stakeholders and driving cross-functional commercial initiatives
  • You demonstrate a strong understanding of the client landscape relevant to Trading & Clearing
  • You show a high level of commitment, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to collaborate and influence across teams and seniority levels; you are fluent in written and spoken English, German is a plus
  • You are highly proficient in MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with the Bloomberg Terminal is a plus
