Job Description

Role: Patient Care Assistant
Location: Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists

Job type: Permanent, part-time

Hours: 32 hours per week - Monday to Friday.

We are looking for an experienced Administrator who would like to join our organisation on a permanent basis to provide vital support to our Client Accounts team during a very busy time. The Client Accounts department is responsible for processing all insurance claims and payments on behalf of our clients. Your role will be to assist the team in doing this in an efficient and timely manner

The role will consist of the following duties:

  • To accurately process insurance claims within agreed timescales
  • To manage queries from Insurers in a professional manner
  • To accurately record and process payments
  • To liaise with clients and insurance companies on the telephone in a professional, yet sensitive manner.

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years administrative experience
  • Have experience in processing payments and insurance claims
  • Be proficient in using Microsoft software (Outlook/Excel)
  • Be able to pick up and learn new tasks quickly
  • Be exceptionally organised and able to prioritise own workload
  • Be confident and professional when speaking with senior members of staff, clients, and insurance providers
  • Be empathetic to client circumstances
  • Be eligible to work in the UK

The ideal candidate would be a strong administrator with experience of processing insurance claims to enable them to hit the ground running.

Since 2006, we’ve been one of the country’s leading veterinary specialist referral hospitals with vets and their teams caring for small animals every day.

Our dedicated vets, nurses and nursing assistants, supported by the administrative teams, are committed to providing the highest quality surgical and medical care for pets. Many of our clinicians are nationally or internationally recognised specialists in their field and bring unique experiences to care for pets.

We accept referrals for Orthopaedic Surgery, Soft Tissue Surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Dentistry, Cardiology, Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Oncology, Physiotherapy as well as Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) and a Pain Clinic.

We have comprehensive and established clinical and non-clinical programmes for training, development and CPD.

You can find us in Hampshire, just south of Winchester, close to the M3 and national and international transport links. We are in a serene countryside setting with state-of-the-art facilities and are available to look after pets 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
