Job Title: Client Accountant
Location: Ta' Xbiex, Malta
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary Range: €25,000 – €35,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

DFK Malta, in partnership with one of our clients within the corporate and financial services sector, is currently seeking a Client Accountant to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, supporting accounting, payroll, and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Manage a portfolio of clients, providing a comprehensive range of accounting and administrative services
• 
  Prepare management accounts and financial statements
• 
  Liaise with auditors and support audit processes
• 
  Prepare and submit tax and VAT returns, and liaise with tax authorities
• 
  Act as a main point of contact for clients, addressing queries and maintaining strong relationships
• 
  Support payroll processes where applicable

Requirements

• 
  Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• 
  Previous experience with accounting software (Sage Pastel Evolution is considered an asset)
• 
  Sound understanding of IFRS and GAPSME reporting standards
• 
  Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
• 
  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• 
  Detail-oriented, efficient, and well-organised
• 
  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• 
  Fluency in English is required; Maltese is considered an asset but not essential

Working Setup

• 
  Primarily on-site at the office in Ta' Xbiex
• 
  Remote working options available after the probation period, subject to company policy
