Examples of duties
This position supports the daily operations of the agency by preparing documents, organizing records, and assisting staff and the public. The role centers on clear communication, accurate typing, and dependable office support. As a Clerk Typist 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Document Preparation: Type letters, forms, legal orders, affidavits, schedules, invoices, and reports from drafts and templates
- Public Interaction: Answer telephones, assist callers, and direct individuals to the correct staff or office
- Record Handling: Complete record requests and organize, file, open, close, and scan case files
- Mail Processing: Open, sort, distribute, and prepare certified mail and review dockets and indexes for information requests
- Data Management: Enter information into the CAPS system and update placement sheets as provided by staff
- Office Operations: Operate office machines and complete scheduling, copying, and other clerical tasks as needed
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerk Typist 2, and educational development to the level of completion of high school; or
- One year of progressively complex clerical typing experience and completion of high school; or
- Six months of moderately complex clerical typing work and completion of a post high school business curriculum; or
- Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
