Cambria County is seeking a professional, detail-oriented full-time Clerk Typist 1 to support the daily operations of the Area Agency on Aging. The successful candidate will perform a variety of clerical, administrative, and customer service duties while providing exceptional support to staff, clients, and the public. Examples of duties
This role supports the agency by handling a wide range of clerical tasks. The position requires attention to detail, clear communication, and consistent follow-through. As a Clerk Typist 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Phone Support: Answer and transfer calls based on information from consumers
- Mail Processing: Open, sort, distribute, and prepare outgoing mail using agency procedures
- Data Entry: Enter consumer applications, updates, and meal records into SAMS, PIA, and related systems
- Visitor Assistance: Greet visitors and provide routine information in a professional manner
- Document Preparation: Type reports, letters, memos, and other materials from handwritten drafts
- Clerical Support: Serve as back-up for other clerical staff and complete filing, labeling, and record tasks
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Legal Requirements:
