This is an excellent opportunity for a Clerk of Works to be involved in the delivery of a broad range of projects. We are seeking a highly motivated individual, to join our team as a Clerk of Works (Roads & Lighting Contracts).

The team plays a key role in the delivery of a broad range of infrastructure projects across Fife. The successful candidate will ensure that projects are constructed to the relevant standards and specifications.

Salary, Single status FC7 placement depending on skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications. Permanent, based at Bankhead Central, Glenrothes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support service delivery across a broad range of civil engineering or construction activities.

• Ensure that works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and responsibilities.

• Maintain detailed daily records of site activities.

• Liaise with members of the public and other relevant internal / external parties as necessary.

• Ensure compliance with current Health and Safety legislation.

The Person

• You will be educated to SCQF level 7, which includes HNC or Advanced Highers, Apprenticeship or equivalent in civil engineering or construction.

• Be able to work as part of a team and independently.

• You should have good communication skills with experience in working with the public.

• You should have good IT and numerical skills.

• You should have experience of inspection/ supervision of civil engineering and construction works.
