Job Description

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12

2- 3 years retail experience an added advantage

Ability to communicate in English

Must be able to pass given assessments at the required level

Must be successful in competency based interviews

Must be flexible and willing to be transferred between stores

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory control

Ensures stock count plan executed- National, Divisional and Ad Hoc counts

Ensures Exit management control

Ensures Dormancy, Obsolesce and Overstock controls

Analyses discrepancies in postings and advise Store management on corrective actions to follow

Ensures stock movement processes are followed e.g. Shop Use, RTC, Inter department transfers and Waste

  1. Merchandising Management

Prints / Analyses daily & weekly stock reports e.g. In-store category review (Dormant – weekly), negative stock as a result of GapScan – daily

Confirms availability of stock by location for Dormant- / Obsolete – and Exit stocks

Reports deviations on merchandise standards /admin to Inventory manager

Reports non-compliance on Inventory movement process to Inventory manager e.g. inter department transfers, interbranch, waste
