Reports to the Director of Imaging Services, or designee. The Clerk III is responsible for a variety of clerical duties in support of the Diagnostic Imaging department, which includes, but not limited to: Greeting patients, providing instructions, answering/routing telephone calls, patient scheduling, order entry of exams/procedures, and duplication and/or importing of radiology reports and images into PACS. Every employee of the Diagnostic Imaging Department at Doctors Medical Center is expected to promote the mission and philosophy of the hospital by acting in a caring, courteous, and confidential manner towards patents, visitors, colleagues, and staff by performing their duties and responsibilities according to the expected standards. Every member of the Diagnostic Imaging Staff is expected to perform their duties and to accept the responsibility of the accuracy of their work as dictated in their Professional Standards of Conduct. Staff members will maintain confidentiality of all reports, maintain the integrity of identification of patient, and will perform designated tasks which will enable the department to comply with all regulatory standards.
Minimum Education:
High School diploma preferred.
Minimum Experience/Skills:
Must have at least six months of recent (within the last two years) clerical experience in a healthcare setting. Must be able to type 35 words a minute. Must have scheduling experience, excellent communication skills, and basic knowledge of medical terminology.
