LOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport, NY 14450; Creekside School
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-Month Position, Full-Time
STARTING DATE: As Soon As Possible
SALARY RANGE: $16.00 - $22.50 per hour
*Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
DUTIES:
- This position is responsible for the independent performance of varied clerical duties requiring a moderate degree of decision making. The use of a personal computer for word processing and database entry is an integral part of this position.
- Prepare and distribute various documents, such as memos, reports, and presentations, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Assist in maintaining and organizing physical and electronic filing systems. Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including sorting and distributing mail.
- Performs other clerical tasks as needed, which may include management of mail, management of office supplies, operation of office equipment, and typing. Performs other related duties as assigned.
- General entry-level office duties to include filing, copying, operating general office machinery such as fax, computer/programs, etc.
- Work with other team members to assist in office responsibilities as designated by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Civil Service eligibility as Office Clerk III: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma plus EITHER:
(A) Successful completion of one (1) year of college coursework (or 30 semester credit hours) from a college or university; OR,
(B) One (1) year paid full-time or it's part-time equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience*; OR,
(C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
- Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Salesclerk shall not be considered office clerical experience of these minimum requirements.
