Job Description

Clerk II - Food & Nutrition -(26003533)

The University of Iowa Healthcare department of Food & Nutrition is seeking a Clerk II to perform work related to answering telephones to take orders from patients for meal trays and clinic box lunches. This position routinely interacts with food workers, diet clerks, dietitians, and nursing staff to verify and maintain menu accuracy. This position also functions as our Hot seat position where Clerks manage two phones at one time.

Percent of Time: 100%

Schedule: 5:30am - 2:00pm

Rotating Schedule/Weekends:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday

Week 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

Salary: $17.86/hour

Qualifications

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Any combination of clerical office experience, undergraduate education, and/or post high school clerical training that is equivalent to one year of full-time employment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with the public
  • Customer services experience
