Job Description

Working closely with the Count Team Lead, the Clerk Count Team is primarily responsible for the collection and processing of large volumes of currency from Table Games, Slot Machines, Kiosk machines, and Money Recyclers for reporting purposes in a prescribed manner with accuracy and efficiency. The Clerk Count Team provides documentation of all counts fulfilling all Gaming and Company regulatory requirements.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Collection of cash, tickets and tokens from each slot machine, cashless wagering kiosk, parking kiosk, satellite banking kiosk, arcade games and any other machine or revenue area as instructed and appropriate.
  • Effectively perform the functions of counting, sorting, strapping, racking, transporting, and recording of all funds in the count operation.
  • Maintain proficiency in operation of all programs and equipment used in the drop and count process
  • Ensure maintenance of a clean and organized count room
  • Ensure adequate cleaning and maintenance of all drop and count equipment
  • Produce and maintain accurate count team data
  • Perform other job duties as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate.
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently, and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
  • Ability to multi-task and work will in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required.
  • Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and carry up to 5 pounds of boxes filled with currency.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist and grip items as necessary.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
  • Ability to use 10 key calculators.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year cash handling experience. Experience working in a similar hotel/gaming setting is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration.

Physical Demands:

  • Work is performed in a hotel/casino setting.
  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
  • May be exposed to smoke.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, and guests.
  • Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
  • Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Use of standard office equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
