Within the context of a client service culture and in accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, works as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide senior secretarial program support. Supervises three (3) to ten (10) designated staff by performing duties such as scheduling and coordinating work assignments, evaluating employee performance and determining related training and orientation requirements. Prepares staff schedules, receives and processes approved requests such as vacation, leave of absence and terminations and maintains timekeeping records for staff. Attends meetings, compiles and maintains a variety of statistical/financial information, sets up and maintains filing systems, identifies supplies and orders replacement items. QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience Grade 12. Successful completion of a recognized secretarial program and three years recent related experience including (1) year experience in a supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to keyboard at 55 w.p.m.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Ability to deal with others effectively.Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.Ability to supervise.Ability to organize work.Ability to operate related equipment.The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. MHSU Outpatient services are an interdisciplinary team (psychiatry, nursing, social work, OT, psychology, counselling) who provide short-term services for adults in Vancouver (19+). Our clients experience moderate to severe mental health or concurrent mental health and substance use concerns leading to impact in daily functioning. Our clients might experience difficulty in accessing the social determinants of health and can present with psychosocial stressors impacting their mental health presentation. Our clients may receive services which include care coordination, 1:1 support, individual and group psychotherapy, and interdisciplinary input, depending on need.
