This is a non-exempt, part-time position, not to exceed 1039 work hours in any fiscal year. Employees in this position will perform a variety of clerical duties for Community Development located in Carson City, Nevada. Performs duties including customer service, data entry and retrieval, filing, typing and records storage; performs related duties as required.

Education and Experience:
Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities. A typical way to qualify: graduation from high school or the equivalent, supplemented by specialized clerical training and two years of increasingly responsible clerical experience.
Language skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage.
Reasoning ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The position resides primarily in an office environment where the person is required to sit for extended periods of time; frequently use computers and standard office equipment; noise level is usually quiet.
