Clerical - Attendance/Health AssistantThis position is full time. Clerical - Attendance (20 hours per week, .5 FTE) and Health Assistant (20 hours per week, .5 FTE)
Clerical - Attendance
Responsible for maintaining and processing information relative to student attendance. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele.
Health Assistant
Responsible for administering student medication, management of student’s chronic health conditions, first aid care of students, and maintaining student records. Deals with information of a highly confidential nature. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Occasional lifting five (5) to fifty (50) pounds
• Frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting
Receive information regarding student absences and tardies; enter data into computer.
May direct work and supervise student assistants.
Prepare a variety of reports for school administration, teachers, school District, and state.
May receive and route phone calls.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
May provide clerical support for administrator or other office personnel.
Communicate with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding student absences.
Maintain certain student files and records, such as discipline, attendance, etc.
May administer authorized medication to students and maintain records.
