Clerical Assistants function as a part of the healthcare team, multi-skilled professional assistance and a valuable asset to the delivery of patientcare. Scope of practice includes performance of routine administrative and clerical tasks under the supervision of an RN, advanced practice nurse or other independently licensed provider.
The Specialty Services Clerical Assistant is mainly a non-clinical position. If a clerical assistant has clinical skills and can be shown to have a clinical competence that is documented, the clerical assistant may be used in that limited clinical task.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Patient Services Specialist program or equivalent
• Current Patient Services Specialist Certificate preferred
• BLS Required
• One Year clinical experience preferred
• Strong medical terminology skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Strong clerical and computer skills, knowledge of Word
• Knowledge of EPIC HER or ability to be proficient in four weeks of hire.

Shift Time: 8- hour shifts (standard business hours)
