As a Clerical Assistant 2 with the Bureau of Blindness and Visual Services, Altoona District Office, you will support daily office operations that help the district serve participants and staff. This role supports the Altoona District Office by completing clerical tasks that help staff carry out their work. It involves preparing documents, maintaining records, assisting with mail processing, and supporting staff needs.
As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30 minute lunch. Position's work hours are negotiable - 7.5-hour workday and lunch period is 30 minutes (or 60 minutes depending on work hours).Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Altoona, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $36,831.00 (before taxes).You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orGraduation from high school; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.
