Salary Range: $35.00 - $36.00 Hourly

GENERAL INTRODUCTION:
The Archbishop, visible principle of unity in his archdiocese, is called to build up the particular Church unceasingly in the communion of all its members, and to ensure that their diverse gifts and ministries, in union with the universal Church, serve to build up all the faithful and to spread the Gospel. (Apostolorum Successores 8). He must take care that all the affairs which belong to the administration of the whole archdiocese are duly coordinated and are ordered to attain more suitably the good of the portion of the people of God entrusted to him.” (Apostolorum Successores 177).
Each position employed in Chancery helps to extend the ministry of the archbishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Director of Formation, is responsible for collaborating with the Vicar for Clergy team in handling diverse tasks while having the ability to multi-task, focus on detail and professionally communicate with various internal and external constituents. The Director of Formation may assign targeted responsibilities spanning over a defined period from several weeks to months during the year. Special projects as assigned.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES:
- Primary event planner for Priest Days, Annual Priest Retreat, Preaching the Lectionary, Annual Deacon Retreat, Deacon Convocation, and other clergy events, including post program evaluations.
- Assist Director of Formation with the Continuing Formation program of offerings, training sessions, and sabbaticals. Supply support and assistance to The Continuing Formation of Clergy Advisory Board.
- Administrative Support for:
- - Deacon Formation Candidate program and core team needs.
- - Continuing of Formation for Clergy Advisory Board needs.
- - ParishStaq registration, accounts payable, and evaluations for priest and deacon events and trainings
- - Securing meeting sites, vendors/caterer and locations for priest and deacon events and trainings.
- Provide formation coordination to non-resident international priests.
- - Assess and respond to needs of language comprehension and accent needs.
- - Plan, execute and evaluate the international priest continuing formation offerings throughout the year.
- Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Primary:
- Interpersonal skills with clergy, initiating and welcoming clergy and groups of clergy
- Demonstration of realistic understanding of humanity and spirituality of clergy.
- Willingness and ability to support the mission of the Church by extending the ministry of the archbishop
- Willingness to work at least one weekend each month and many evenings each month.
- Ability and desire to use God-given gifts and talents in service of the local Church in support of the collaboration between lay and ordained Ministers.
- Knowledge of and/or familiarity with the Catholic Church and Catholic clergy in Western Washington.
- Active member of a parish/faith community in good standing with the Church.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College degree preferred.

Experience:
- 2-3 years of demonstrated event planning.
- 1-2 years direct work with priests and or deacons.
- 1-2 years minimum demonstrated experience with social media, event planning and creating marketing content.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with social media sites in a professional context.
- Experience updating/maintaining a website presence.

- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Ability to lift materials of at least 25 lbs.
- Ability to maintain high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with difficult people.
- Willingness and ability to work some evenings and weekends.
- Bilingual competency, preferred.
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
